Celebrating 2011 National Direct Support Professionals Week

It is time to celebrate! From September 12-17, Melwood will take time to celebrate National Direct Support Professionals Week. During this week we will recognize the tireless efforts of staff who work directly with people with disabilities. Each and every day, they help people to live independently, work in the community, and access the world. At Melwood, Community Services is proud to have over 140 full and part time direct support professionals, who help the people Melwood supports to live, to work and to play where and how they choose. We are all very proud of the hard work and dedication our direct support professionals continually give toward making our mission and vision a reality. It is because of our direct support professionals that Melwood services are consistently ranked the highest in quality in the state of Maryland.
