Erin Olsen, Corporate Training and Development Coordinator

Erin joined Melwood’s Corporate Training and Development Department in July of 2006. Erin comes to Melwood with an extensive background in direct service. Previously serving as a Data Manager at Duke University Medical Center on a Clinical Research Study, she has also worked as a Direct Support Professional with various Human Service organizations. As Corporate Training and Development Coordinator, Erin schedules classes, monitors and plans employees’ trainings, manages Corporate Training and Development activities, creates training reports to ensure employees’ training compliance as well as conducts new staff orientation training. Erin uses her professional background to provide not only the highest quality service to Melwood staff, but uses her experience to elevate the productivity of Melwood’s Corporate Training and Development Department.

Lucky McGuire, Special Projects Coordinator

Lucky joined Melwood’s Corporate Training and Development Department in May of 2007. Lucky comes to Melwood with an extensive background in administrative support. She previously served as Melwood’s first Temporary On-Call for one and one-half years before becoming a part-time employee. Lucky is a U.S. Postal Service retiree where she held several positions from entry level to her final assignment as the Administrative Support Assistant to the Postmaster General and CEO, who oversees an organization of 700,000 employees nationwide. She also worked in the finance field for several years. As Special Projects Coordinator, Lucky routinely monitors employees’ training attendance, conducts new staff orientation training, as well as suggests and researches new course curriculum. Lucky brings with her a dynamic professional background to interact positively and provide clear, concise and high quality of service to Melwood staff, she draws from years of high-level assignments to ensure the Corporate Training and Development Department is revered as a top-notch organization with an eye toward the future while maintaining a finger on the pulse of Melwood.

Marchesa Whittington, Corporate Training and Development Manager

Marchesa holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology and has successfully completed the Langevin Learning Services Training Certification Program. With over 20 years experience in the Human Services field, she has served in many capacities which include Direct Support Professional, Employee Assistance Program Supervisor, Residential Services Manager, and Quality Assurance Coordinator. She has designed, developed, and delivered innumerable training programs and modules, many of which complied with regulatory requirements.

Marchesa is certified by Maryland’s Developmental Disability Administration as a Behavior Principles and Strategies Cross Trainer and serves as an Adjunct Faculty at the Prince George’s Community College. She has taught for Federal government entities, state and non-profit agencies. Some of these agencies include: U.S. Department of Agriculture, Census Bureau, and Maryland Association of Community Service Direct Support Conference. A training veteran, Marchesa brings an engaging, high-energy and ability to make learning fun. She is a member of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).
