VolunteerThe purpose of Volunteer Program is to provide individuals in the community opportunities to serve our individuals with disabilities in a variety of ways - at Kamp-A-Kom-Plish as a Volunteer Camp Activities Assistant, at the Equestrian Center as a Therapeutic Riding Volunteer, and at the Horticultural and Garden Center as a Volunteer Greenhouse Assistant. Volunteers strengthen strengthen Melwood's existing services and programs by increasing the available support for the people we serve. Volunteers are selected and trained to be additional support providers for existing programs and services. Specifically, tasks will consist of but are not limited to: some light office work; assisting staff in group outings, projects or activities; assisting staff in riding lessons; assisting staff with the upkeep and organization of the greenhouse and therapeutic activities.
