Career Services
Melwood´s Career Services Department provides a wide range of services designed to prepare and assist individuals with disabilities in securing competitive employment.
Local businesses enable people with developmental and other disabilities to experience full community integration, social, and economic empowerment—the heart of Melwood´s vision and mission—through employment. Melwood Career Services Department matches an individual´s skills, interests, and work preferences to the needs of local employers.
This is accomplished through an individualized program of career assessment, job readiness activities, occupational skills training, job placement, job coaching, and retention services.
We promote the achievement of independence for each of our customers through the job searching process by assigning tasks to the customer based on their abilities.
