Individual Support Services
Individual Support Services assist adults with disabilities in their own homes. These services encourage independence and may include:
- Helping finding housing
- Teaching parenting skills to mother and fathers who have disabilities
- Assisting with medical appointments
- Assisting with securing or maintaining benefits
- Finding community recreational and social opportunities
- Finding and securing community services
- Crisis intervention and follow up
- Independent living training
- Human relationship training
- Assistance in obtaining legal services
- Training in budgeting skills
These services are tailored to each person. Depending on the person´s needs, interaction with staff may vary from occasional drop-in supports to extensive in-home support on a daily basis.
