Admissions

Access Adventures accepts travelers with all types of cognitive and physical disabilities. We ask that ALL travelers have their MEDICAL and BEHAVIORAL issues UNDER CONTROL. Those who require the use of wheel chairs are accepted on all trips. Space is limited, so call early to make reservations. Our vacations are planned to provide a 1:4 staff to traveler ratio, which provides one staff for every four traveler. 1:1 and 1:2 care is at an additional cost; call for more information. Access Adventures does not guarantee in room 24-hour supervision. Our staff are with the travelers during normal waking hours. In room supervision must be pre-arranged and may be an additional cost.

Information Requirements

Access Adventures requires all travelers to maintain an application and physical form on file. All forms are required ONE MONTH PRIOR to the start of the scheduled program. If we do not receive an application and/or physical on time your reservation will be subject to cancellation from the program and charged the cancellation fee of $75 plus expenses. All information must be updated each year.

Deposits

The balance of the program fee is due 45 DAYS PRIOR to the start of the scheduled program. The price of air or cruise travel trips may change upon notification.

Cancellation Policy

All changes and cancellations must be in writing. If your cancellation is received 30 days prior to departure, you will receive a refund minus the $100 deposit and any pre-purchased portions of the vacation package.

For programs involving air, train or cruise arrangements bookings must be make 60 days in advance and your cancellations must be received 45 days prior. When your cancellation is received, you will receive a refund minus the $100 deposit and any pre-purchased portions of the vacation package. Trips cancelled after the deadlines are nonrefundable – NO EXCEPTIONS. Refunds are not given for no-shows, travelers refusing to board or having improper identification.

Trips cancelled due to weather receive a refund minus any nonrefundable expenses incurred. Programs shortened or delayed due to weather will receive a credit towards a future program.

Custom Designed Programs

Groups of six or more can design a vacation of their own. With our extensive experience in travel and recreational programming, Access Adventures is sure to provide you with an experience that will meet all your needs.

Location

The Retreat Center is approximately 60 minutes south of Washington, D.C. and 90 minutes from Baltimore, located on 108 wooded acres in beautiful countryside.
