Melwood Operating Status: Normal
Staff offices and programs are open.
Charles County and Prince George's County van transportation will run as scheduled.
Contract workers should report as scheduled.

WEATHER EMERGENCIES
MELWOOD POLICIES & PROCEDURES RECAP
In the event of inclement weather, the following policies/procedures apply:
Melwood follows the Federal Government closure policy. If federal offices are closed, Melwood offices are closed and vans will not run.
If federal offices are open or delayed, Vocational Services Van Transportation shall follow County School system cancellation policy:
- If Charles County schools close, Charles County vans will not run. If Prince George's County schools close, Prince George 's County vans will not run.
- If school openings are delayed, van schedules will also be delayed the announced number of hours.
- If schools are closed early, vans will run early.
Vocational Services contract crews will operate as directed by the contracts Manager. Workers will take guidance from their supervisor/foreman.
Contract sites will operate as directed by the Senior Vice President of Contract Services and Manager of Horticultural Department. Workers will follow procedures established for their work site and take guidance from their supervisor/foreman.
