Melwood’s Community Support Services department serves in a variety of functions to help support people with disabilities in living their everyday lives. By bringing case management and direct support services into the homes of people with disabilities through its Individual Support Services (ISS) and Community Supported Living Arrangements (CSLA) programs.
ISS and CSLA services are individualized, providing the necessary supports to help each individual remain at home with the family, or to succeed in living independently in his or her own home. People receive services based on their needs, from as little as five hours per week up to 24/7 support from staff.
Community Support Services provide personalized attention, carefully matching staff and individuals served. The individuals receiving services interview and hire the staff with whom they will be working, to increase the level of self-determination in their lives. Melwood encourages independence, community involvement, and empowered decision-making in every aspect of life.
