Melwood’s graduates over the years have won awards for their work, and stayed on their jobs for 20 years, 30 years — and longer. Melwood provides recreation at our inclusive 108-acre camp in scenic Charles County, Maryland, which is also home to Access Adventures, a travel service that provides a year-round schedule of exciting destinations for adults with disabilities.
Melwood provides housing in 32 homes and services for a total of 300 people in their homes. All of these services require funding, and donations make the difference between someone’s life changing for the better or waiting for another day. |

Donations make the difference at Melwood. Support from the community makes it possible for Melwood to offer job training and one-on-one support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Melwood provides job training at our Temple Hills training facility that graduates more than 60 workers each year — into good paying jobs with benefits.
