Why Help?

Donations make the difference at Melwood. Support from the community makes it possible for Melwood to offer individualized support for people with disabilities.

Melwood’s employees over the years have won awards for their work, and stayed on their jobs for 20 years, 30 years - and longer.

Melwood´s recreation program offers a variety of recreation opportunities to people with developmental and physical disabilities including an inclusive summer camp for children, a small-group, community based vacation program for adults, and a year-round equestrian program for youth and adult riders with and without disabilities.

All of these services require funding, and donations make the difference between someone’s life changing for the better or waiting for another day.
