It's a privilege to provide compassionate services for individuals who take the selfless oath to protect and serve. Placing their lives on the front-lines is an honor that we deeply value and recognize at Melwood.
"I've gone through other programs like this, but I never stayed. This program, how do I know it works; because I stayed. There's a certain peace, a certain knowingness, it works."
- SPC Scott Barber United States Army (ret.), and Operation: Tohidu Participant
In honor of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Month and our retreat-style program for veterans, Operation: Tohidu®, Melwood will honor veterans and active duty military men and women for their brave services, as we launch our Dining for Veterans campaign.
Here's how the Dining for Veterans Campaign works:
Host restaurants agree to promote the Dining for Veterans campaign on a designated day, or set of days beginning Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 through Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4.
Host restaurants donate a percentage of sales on those days. Alternatively, you could agree to donate $1 per patron during your designated day(s) of participation.
If you are unable to participate as a host restaurant, make a donation to our Veteran Services program.
